extra buffer on the splitter blend.

why does one channel in the splitter blend have an extra fet buffer before the blend opamp? before i think about leaving it out i'd like to know a little more of its purpose

The phase polarity stage results in a lower input impedance, so a buffer was necessary to prevent any impedance issues.
