I have a Marshall TSL60 head. They are very common to have the 5 button footswitch go bad.
I'm not about to pay $130 for a piece of crap from MF so I thought I would make one.

Problem is I dont have one to copy and I cant seem to find a schematic anywhere. I emailed Marshall
asking if they have one available and havent heard back yet. Heres a link to the amp schem I found, I know sometimes
they put to footswitch on there as well. http://www.schematicheaven.com/marshallamps/jcm2000_tsl60_60w.pdf
Can anyone see it on there? I cant but I was hoping I just missed it.
Does anyone have a footswitch they can trace for me?
Does anyone have the schematic they would share with me?
Thanks

It's on the lower left of the 2nd page.  The Marshall uses momentary switches with probably either a relay or a flip-flop to operate the LED.  I'm getting ready to build a similar switch for a customer's Gibson GA30 head.

Without me sounding like a total idiot can someone help break it down for me
on the schematic so I know what Im looking at for the footswitch.

The more I look at the schematic (page 2, A5) the whole section looks (to me)
like its part of the amplifier board and not the footswitch. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
Is it as simple as hooking up the switches to the corresponding pin on the connector?
As I said before I'm lost.

That's the jack on the chassis but but it should make it easy to trace it back.  I'll look at it closer today and see if I can track it back.

It looks like the center is ground and you should be able to activate any footswitch function by shorting any of the other pins to this ground pin.

I was hoping it was something simple like that.
Thanks I will give it a try.

Will the switches need to be momentary?
I'm having trouble seeing how it would work any other way.
