Any one have any problems getting the millennium 2 LED switch to work with a BSIAB2?

I can't get the LED to turn off.  It works on it's own, but the BSIAB output pot doesn't seem  to be enough to bring it down.  The pot is 0-60 ohms on the center lug.

Thanks . . .   John.

Not getting the Mill2 to turn off is usually a pinout issue on the MOSFET. Not always, but often.

the millennium 2 works on it's own.  If I short out the gate to ground it turns off.  I haven't tried it with a 1meg resistor.

It doesn't do anything when connected to the pot of the volume on the BSIAB2.  Correction, the value on that 100k log pot is ~60k lug to lug.

Maybe I'll just put a 3pole switch in this and save the millennium2 for another box.

OK. If it works on its own, then the problem is in the connection. But do try it with a 1M resistor to make sure that it's sensitive enough. There are circuit errors which would cause the behavior you show - for instance, the biasing leakage diode being reversed.

Does the BSIAB2 have a DC connection to ground?

hmm, ok, a 56k won't take it down, so maybe I better check my circuit.

yes, the last component is a 100k log volume pot that one end is effect, the other end ground, wiper output.

well now I hate to own up to this, but I had the fet in backwards.

Thanks for the advice, Mr. Keen . . .

Don't be embarassed.
How do you think I know what happens when it is put in backwards?
;)
