I don't know if this is maybe a bit far fetched or missplaced, but I just want to tip my hat to Beavis Audio Research for the great input this guy offers the DIY community. For those (hopefully few) individuals who haven't yet discovered his page it is to be found at www.beavisaudio.com. His latest article "Pedal Hacker Projects - True Bypass Loops" shows yet again what a GREAT site this is. I'm off to build a looper now. Cheers!  ;)

I love BeavisAudio.
Every week I pass by to check if there's something new. Dano is some cool guy ;)

The Tone God

I still love the look of his site. Very stylish while simple.

I like that variation on true bypass where the input to the effect is grounded - clever idea, will have to try it.  Same with the feedback mod, intriguing.

I love the look/appearance of his schematics, etc - and I dig the subtle juvenile humor.

Agreed!  Dano is an awesome guy to talk to.  His site is one of the first I found beginning, and I wonder if I ever would have succeeded in that first build without him.

Thanks guys!

I left this forum in a petulant frenzy a month or so ago.

For the life of me, I can't remember why I left, and I am afraid to search to forum for fear of finding out I called someone an ass-pirate or somesuch.

On a more scientific/research front, I have noticed that since not being here:

a) My life has become a shallow meaningless pit
b) I spend all my time watching Golden Girls reruns instead of building stuff

best,
-beavis

I'm very pleasently surprised to see you back! Welcome home  :icon_biggrin:

I've found that forums tend to go in cycles of people getting unhappy with one thing or another, breaking off into factions, then the factions breaking off and coming back, only to find that it's not the same anymore and stuff like that. There's a lengthy thread on forum cycles on another forum I visit too.

The general consenses was, things change, sit back and enjoy it  ;D

Your site, along with Jack's and R.G's (and a couple of others) is a tome of knowledge that would usually take hours on the search engine here to condense. Love it.

Good to see you here again dano, but it's no surprise- we knew you'd come crawling back!  ;)   I missed the commotion surrounding your departure, and was shocked when I found out a few days after.  I'm glad you came to your senses.  :icon_cool:
Now we need to work on getting MarkM back.

On a side note, I would like to applaud Mr. Dano on his truly marvelous reverse engineering of the infamous fuzz factory circuit.  The schematic and insights are nothing short of wonderful. Why I didn't see it before is beyond me.
Top notch and welcome back

I left in a huff over what should have been a non-incident. The mods were polite and professional--the fault was mine.

You guys are right--this place is probably one of the few corners of the interwebs the remains fabulous through thick and thin.
