im building a ts808 clone and realized the box i wanted to use wouldnt quite fit.  The only other good box i have available is a vox footswitch enclosure with two holes for stompswitches already drilled that a friend gave me after he ruined the cord.  I was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion of what else i should pack in that limited space.  the options i have come up with so far are a booster, a wah without a rocker for the half %^&*ed sound, an orange squeezer and i would also like to put a fuzz face type circuit in there but i think there would be grounding issues between the two pedals since ones pos and ones neg.  Im very up in arms about it and cant reach a decision (thats why im bothering you fine folks) so any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

I'd go booster or OS with the ts808, that way you have a more versatile setup.

808 + Ross comp = basically route 66 by visual sound, a good combo
2 808s, a setup that stevie ray vaugn used.
Or something fuzzier like a Rat, or a Dist+, to contrast the TS crunch.
And my personal favorite, 808 + Mosfet boost.  totally badass.

Whichever you go with, look up "The Juggler" at geofex.  It allows you to switch the order of the effects in the box using a 3pdt toggle (4pdt if you want to use LEDs).  Example:  Boost->TS = extra thick distortion.  TS->Boost = overhead volume for extra crunch and solo gain.

Putting in a booster after the TS would be particularly useful for the extra volume you might need solos, like MikeH said.

Otherwise, if you don't need a volume boost for solos and you rather prefer an extra different distorted sound, you still could go for a Silicon Fuzz Face, without grounding issues. In this case I strongly suggest you to put a 200p cap (or something around that) between the two transistors' collectors to smooth out the fuzz sound, a la germanium!

Thanks for all the wonderful responses.  I think ill put a booster in with it.  Ill probably just make a couple different circuits and see which ones seem to go well hand in hand or just my fav booster tone.  This is finally giving me a reason to try all the different boost circuits.  and thanks for the juggler tip, i remember seeing it once but i couldnt remember where or the real name so you just saved me a big search, now i wont feel bad for the impulse buy of 4pdt switches on e bay i made one day.  I think this is going to be a really solid pedal.

I tend to use the booster before the TS and I'm very satisfied.
I usually have the TS on (actually it's a Tube Reamer, with a less pronounced mid freq boost) with low distorsion, if I need 'meat' I engage the boost and my strat then  really sings.
