My TS9 still doesn't work after a few trouble shoots that I did (made sure that I didn't have a cold solder and made sure that I didn't have any bridges.

Anyway, I will measure the voltages and post it asap

the problems are:  There is volume but it is weak.  The gain control doesn't work...

jonathan perez

i think i have the same problem on a tube screamer i built and tossed a few months ago in the closet...will keep an eye on this thread..

on second thought, only the gain control doesnt work...
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

i am a wah pervert...ask away...

machineman

im actually really pissed about this because it seems to be a small problem...somebody help us...

I use an audio probe, basically a cap attached to cord and 1/4 jack. Instructions can be found on this site. This simple tool finds errors quickly!

I can vouch for this wonderfull tool, made it simple to follow the signal and see where the problem was on my first build.
Happiness is a effin' hot soldering iron

thanks people!!! it's working now!!!!  Don't need an audio probe for this project...but i will make one definitely.

What was the problem/fix?

I was having the same problem with mine and I replaced the diodes with the same type and it works great now... must have been a cold joint.

Jobet

Cold joints on the diodes will not prevent the pedal from putting out sound. In fact the sound will be even stronger.

A short circuited signal path, will. :D

Fuzzy-Train

I had sound, just no distortion. It was the only area where my iron touched, and it made it distort... what else could it have been?
