True bypassing old MXR Phase 90 -- should I connect input to ground in bypass?

I'm adding a DPDT stomp switch to my old Phase 90, which has no LED or power jack.  Right now it just as an SPDT switch in there, and obviously sucks tone in bypass.

For reference purposes, here is the DPDT diagram I am working from:

I'm trying to decide on the following two wiring methods -- which do you guys recommend???

A. "Standard"

This would involve connecting as follows:

IN jack to 3
OUT jack to 4
Effect In to 1
Effect Out to 2
5 and 6 to each other.


B. "Input Grounded"

This would involve connecting as follows:

IN jack to 5
5 to 2
Ground to 1
Effect In to 3
OUT jack to 4
Effect Out to 6

B is better,  but A will work fine too.  Phase 90 does not have enough gain to oscillate in bypass if the input is left floating, as in A.

If it is preceded by any buffered pedal (like boss) the stock switching won't suck tone though, the buffer in the previous pedal can drive much heavier loads than the P90's input without affecting the tone.
