   I came across these while searching for something else.  They seem like a pretty good deal, though they have no "lid".  I have no use for them at this point in time, otherwise I'd have bought a bunch of them myself.  But, perhaps some in the community have a use for them.  You can check the site out for a lot of other DIY friendly junk.  Here's the site:

Whoo... I totally forgot about American Science & Surplus.
I used to get their catalog - definitely going to have to go through that site with a fine-toothed comb and look for gems.

I found this project box at Futurlec... I've not ordered one yet, but unless someone starts screaming at me that I should not try it out I'll pick one up. Its only 1.50 so when I place an order there for some stuff I was going to pick one up to see if I liked it.

I really like this box from Futurlec, its very cheap and I have built several headphone amps with it. Here's a picture.  Just remember that the screwmounts are set out a little from the edges so you lose some space inside.

I just drilled the holes, it is very easy to drill through
