Well...it's not "populated", but it is a pedalboard. A friend of mine helped me build it years ago when I was using a two amp rig at the time. I wanted a pedal board with enough space to arrange things as I was using a lot of pedals then. We used 3/4 in. plywood for the sides and 1/4 in. plywood for the top and bottom. The carpet was from Pep Boys and we gutted an old Grundorf case for the corners, handle, latches, etc. The power strip came from an old networking rack that we had to shorten to fit inside. One neat thing was that we angled the side pieces of 3/4 plywood so that you could put the top underneath the bottom and it angled the whole board towards you for better reach/visibility. It's a great board, but it is a beast to carry around and there isn't much room on the stages I play on nowadays. Currently I use a Furman SPB-8C board and about 9 pedals:

homegrown pedals:

a/b switcher for Korg tuner
modded TS808
Q&D compressor

bought pedals:

Morely Bad Horsie Wah
Boss SD1 Super Overdrive
MXR Phase 90 reissue
TC Electronics SCF
Eventide TimeFactor delay pedal
rewired Boss volume pedal as an expression pedal for the TF.

Elshiftos, that board looks great, exactly the kind of thing i'm after.

What PSU did you use?  Did you build it yourself?

Also how did you get it so that the pedals that are in the FX loop appear in the normal chain if the FX loop is not connected?

Last count I was at 40, I think.

I only gig/play with four or so strung up at a time. Wouldn't make sense to connect them all, plus I cant afford all the cables :icon_biggrin:

Oh yeah, I didn't notice most of them were disconnected :icon_redface:

Uh, sorry, Chris, but wouldn't that disqualify the submission? I mean, does sticking a bunch of pedals on a board a pedalboard make? Judges?  :icon_wink:

I had to giggle at that statement.  I don't think I've met anyone who can afford 40 pedals, but cannot afford cables for more than 4 at a time.   ;D :icon_lol:

No harm intended of course Chris.  It's just kinda funny.

Hey, happens all the time: who hasn't gone to the fancy restaurant, then found themselves without enough for the cab home, or bought and SUV, and then couldn't afford the gas, or sold a house because of property taxes and heating bills, and the list goes on. We often think we can swing something, only to find that the little stuff just kills you.

Especially if you have GAS.  :)

+1 on the zip ties, I don't know what would happen if the world suddenly ran out of zip ties, duct tape and WD-40.  :icon_eek:

Question: General rule of thumb is that having more than 6 pedals on your board will suck tone. Is this assuming the pedals are not true-bypass, or what? I'm quickly approaching having 9 or so pedals on my board, and I've been thinking about this as I check out these pictures.
