Here are some pics of the circuit in my Warlock clone

I had a stratoblaster. Now I'm going to change it for a SHO, just because I like change :P

Loved my stratoblaster though, had the battery for a year, measure it when I took it off and measured 9.10V.. new ones measure around 9.5, I had it on all time, and played lots of guitar.. but not a full throtle anyway...

Thank you sir! I enjoy this lil' circuit so much...Also I did no modification to the guitar surface and the switch takes the guitar down to basics, bypassing it...So externally it's the same guitar, but the power is inside... :icon_wink:

It also seems I saved some cash...not that cheap for the tiny circuit it is...

The only thing about the VERO layout I followed is that I just couldn't find a 1.5uF Electrolytic...I went with 1uF, shouldn't be a big trouble, right?!

I finished my AMZ Mosfet booster too...Well, I finished this one before the Stratoblaster, but didn't work at first...Tonight I just found the silly error I made (47nF instead of the 47pF cap) - obviously now it boosts as it should!!!
While I like it better than the Stratoblaster, it must be said that it goes into distortion fields with pot at his max - I wouldn't call it a clean boost!!! At least mine, but I didn't change its main components (I only used a 68k res. and not the trimmer...)

Hell...What a sound!!! I Don't think it could be a good candidate as an onboard guitar preamp (where the circuit oughta push the signal without coloring or adding distortion, IMHHHO) but surely it just rocks before an overdrive!!!

Nice circuit, thx to JACK ORMAN for this booster!!!  :icon_wink:

I have also built the SHO and the Tillman - the first stands close to the AMZ MB, so I don't think it's the best as onboard preamp while it rocks as a stompbox booster - the Tillman can be a serious candidate for my next guitar improvement...

that looks great, fits perfect.  i also put an onboard boost in my guitar, i did the clapton midboost pretty big board(not the funnest to fit in a strat cavity)

i saw your layout, maybe I'll build one some day...But as a stompbox maybe???
