I just built a Superfuzz to the Unicord schematic, which is my first build. This thing is insane sounding!! (which is not a bad thing). I have a question about the settings for the gain and volume. The gain pot doesn't seem to do very much. I get very little difference in tone from setting it from low to all the way up. On the other hand, the volume pot is extremely sensitive. just turning it up a notch is extremely loud! Is this normal for this pedal? Thanks. This thing sounds awsome, but hard to get use to.

no. your gain pot should make a noticeable difference. when rolled back it should clean up and give you octaves from hell. thats a hectic first build, but you picked a good one!

I'm pretty new at this. how do i know if this is working right?  this thing has insane fuzz and volume. the notch and normal mode seems to be working right. thanks.

Compare it to one that's know to work right.
...or enjoy the fuzz as is
...of figure the gain pot should work if 'right', and debug it.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I have a original Univox Super Fuzz(orange), and no the gain("expander" I think) pot doesn't do very much. I usually just keep it turned up all the way.

I have a soundclip of the Univox Super-Fuzz.

That Standard Fuzz is great, too.  :icon_biggrin:
