Hey Guys!
My MIDI Moose has this battery clip.  Does anyone know who sells these?  I tried Mouser, Jameco, DigiKey and a couple of other sites.

Thanks!

Not sure if anyone is interested but since the original post, I built my own battery clip.  This is just a prototype using a pie pan bottom.  Will be doing one of these with sheet metal.

If anyone is interested in the pattern let me know and I'll post.

DAMN!  I just received an order from Smallbear the other day.   :icon_rolleyes:

Thanks for the reply anyway Hendrix.  Maybe I'll order some the next time I place an order w/ Smallbear.

BTW just watched a DVD of Hendrix at Woodstock and Isle of Wight.  I've always like Hendrix but never saw him live, all I can say is he was way ahead of his time he rocks!

You can also do this....

This one is simply a small "L" bracket glued in with JB weld. It holds the battery against the side of the enclosure.  A little sticky back foam keeps everything snugly in place. Costs about 20 cents total !  :)

Another option are these clips, which can be bought at Fry Electronics....

Dragonfly, Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

I was actually looking for a battery clip to access the battery so I don't have to remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the box to get to the battery.  It's a pain especially if you dont have a philips screwdriver when the battery dies.

tranceracer,

Do you have a Russian Big Muff Pi?? If so, is your DIY battery clip compatible?  Looks pretty cool...

Hey Jesse, No I dont have one of those, just want to add a battery compartment to some of my pedals.  Reason the battery is laying down flat is because the switching ckt does not allow enough clearance to stand the battery up.

What about something like this? http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?tier1=Electrical+%26+Power&tier2=Batteries&tier3=Boxes+%26+Holders&tier4=Panel+mounting+PP3+battery+holder&moduleno=62279

Roobin,  Yea these are really nice!  I actually found some on Mouser they even have a double 9V batter compartment that's pretty nice.  They are a little expensive, single drawer is $4 (122-BX0023) and the double is $8 (122-BX0026).  Like Hendrix mentioned above Smallbear has some too.

In the interim I'm going to try and make my own, of course "measure twice cut once" will come into play here.   :D
