Can i replace the guts with the guts of any other 100k lin pot?

So that is what they are putting in the new crybabys now. The pot looks kind of small. You may be able to take insides out of one of the 9mm pots they sell at smallbear. I have a blue pot that is smiler made by bourns that might work .
Class A booster , Dod 250 , Jfet booster, Optical Tremolo, Little Gem 2,  mosfet boost, Super fuzz , ESP stand alone spring reverb red Llama omni-drive , splitter blender ,

NEVER use gorilla glue for guitar repairs! It's Titebond , Elmers, or Superglue

Actually, this was the original replacement to the Hotpotz I around 1994.  I replaced mine around that time with one of these, it's a Dunlop 100k - I could have sworn they also called it a Hotpotz, but it looks a lot like the Bourne Lifepot (Dunlop may have even called it a Lifepot).

I don't care for this pot much, as it doesn't have the high end of the sweep that either Hotpotz I, Hotpotz II, or Fulltone have.
Plus, the taper is MUCH too quick at the heel end of the sweep, like a very rapid transition from low to high with not much of a sweet spot.

It comes from my old GCB-95

How about the "The Black Bear" 100K from Small Bear? http://www.smallbearelec.com/Categories.bok?category=Wah-Wah+and+Swell+Pedal+Parts
I wasn't really happy with the blue pot ... i'm kind of glad he's retired now.

I almost replaced the guts taken from a normal cheapo lin pot (filed a bit) but they broke as i was removing the lugs, so i guess it is possible, but the question is how it's gonna be working ...

Any other pot that I've tried is better than the Dunlop blue pot.  That is if you want a smoother/slower sweep and more high end.

The Fulltone wha pot is the best I've tried so far.

CTS ICAR replicas are not that good, thats why Geoffrey Teese stoped using them.

here is another article on dismantling a Wha Pot
