resistors are SMD mf, all other - with pins. film capacitors, etc.
First version had a single sided pcb, so if you interested,  - pm me.

as i posted previously:
back side: http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/5106/testo10.4/0_472e1_ebd85ba9_orig (i did several mistakes, cause of wrong re-drown schematic).

front side: http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/5300/testo10.4/0_472e0_4058c146_orig

Wow, this PCB is so dense... Nice routing job.

Took a family portrait last night ...

In roughly the order they were built.
My band, Midway Fair: www.midwayfair.org. Myself's music and things I make: www.jonpattonmusic.com. DIY pedal demos: www.youtube.com/jonspatton. PCBs of my Bearhug Compressor and Cardinal Harmonic Tremolo are available from http://www.1776effects.com!

Well, this is my first 1590A, and YOU PEOPLE are freaking INCREDIBLE!!! These are small!  Here the toner/medium transfer is crooked, there are some paper fibers stuck on where I chickened out for fear of rubbing off more toner.  Captured a fingerprint in the extra 2 layers of gloss medium (dumb. should've just used lacquer).  LED Drill bit wandered...  BUT, you know, I really don't care.  Maybe the next will be better, maybe worse...
PnP Rangemaster with a few changes.

Thanks for your inspirations!

I wonder why these jacks aren't used more often in 1590A enclosures:
http://uk-electronic.de/onlineshop/product_info.php/cPath/50_22_24/products_id/1218/language/en?osCsid=ae42af714708c060ec08c8faa23d30bc

One reason could be because people can't find them in the states... at least I can't.  Anyone able to find them in the U.S.?

Klon in a 1590a

Got all of the passives except one in the same direction :) I used all ceramics for polarized caps. made the mistake of not measuring the template i had in eagle and paid the price. As you can see in the top of the enclosure the cutouts are not deep enough which pushed the pcb down, luckily i was able to still make it fit  ::) Eagle files updated, that won't happen again. I've never used these type of jacks before didn't realize they were switching until it was wired up, next time i will have the i/o's switched to ground.

As usual crappy pic's don't do the pedals finish justice. Finished in DC texture powder coat. Embossed graphics. Aluminum knobs from smallbear. Background is actual beeswax that i use in my beekeeping adventures.

haveyouseenhim

@jimmy  that's great. good job. :o   Is that a double sided pcb?

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

That Klon pedal is tight and glorious!

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

bluebunny

My latest "squeeze":

Omega boost from runoffgroove.com.  Sounds sweet.  Most likely will get nicked by my tame guitarist.  Though the seemingly "nuclear fusion" LED may put him off...

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

haveyouseenhim

oh man    it blinded me through the screen :icon_lol: put some more resistance on that thing.   good work ;)   is that a sparkle yellow?

Sorry...  Here, try these:  :icon_cool:

I did calculate the correct resistor value, then I multiplied it by an order of magnitude, cos they always come out brighter than you need.  Looks like only one order of magnitude wasn't enough...   ;D

BTW, paint is a metallic copper enamel - not too obvious from the picture.  Not entirely happy with it.  I think it needs baking, despite the advice on the can...

Has anyone ever attempted a Boss CS-3 (or even a CS-2) in one of these?  I looked through here but didn't see any.  If I could get a 1590a sized CS-3 then I could get my tuner back on my board which would be nice.

An etch with 1/8W resistors would probably fit, but you might have to cut the buffering. I'm pretty sure Mooer's comp is a CS-x. Most of their stuff is dead-on clones in a 1590A.

hmmm, I took a look at the Mooer.  I can't find it for sale anywhere but the info I can find on it says it's a CS-1.  From my understandings that is a different pedal from the 2 and 3 versions.  I guess I'll wait until it comes out and see what the talk of the town is.

As to the other stuff... I thought I might have to lose the buffer but that's not so bad.  Can you tell me what you mean by "etch"?  Are you referring to etching my own board?

danielzink

layout from over at FSB....

My very first ever vero build.

The tone control is definitely subtle.....

Probably could've come up with a more creative name - but I wanted to get it boxed up and on the board asap.

Actually works very well pushing a tube amp into a nice crisp overdrive.
