I remember people saying they drilled through the pot shaft, and others saying they've found pots "pre drilled" shafts.

I'm guessing it's a pot with a built-in LED.. I've been looking for them, but haven't found a supplier yet.

It's a clear plastic pot shaft. Smallbear has em in stock.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

Thanks a lot guys!
I've already bought a lot of 12mm, and just came up with the idea of squeezing a few flat sanded 3 mm LEDs underneath the pot with some sort of plastic washer to insulate it all.  ::)

I finished drilling the 1590a tremolo at school today, turned out great :D
and I'll post the pics of my horrific wiring and paintjob once painting is possible, the weather is just to cold for it right now :(
It's not always easy, but it's never impossible :D

Does anyone care to share their 1590A drilling templates?

I just finished my V.2 template, or more a measurement note.
On the next one i will lower both jacks 5mm towards the 3DPT since i noticed that the side of my jacks will fit nicely between the switch and the side of the box.
Now i don't know if this one will work for you, but it works just fine for me ;)
i use the standard open metal/fiberglass jacks, 3DPT and 12mm pots.
I use this dc jack:

if you don't use batteries (unlikely in a 1590a) use an 8mm dc socket instead of those massive 18mm holes..... save a little more space.. :)

Learned from the first build that every millimeter counts  :icon_eek:
I don't mind the 12mm pots, but those 18mm sockets forces the circuitboard to be a lot smaller.
thanks for the hint, i will need it for my upcoming 1590a little angel :D

They're about AA sized, I'll post a pic later. There's not a lot of glow, but yes, they glow.

Damn, I always forget how stupidly small these guys are. I held that amp in my hand something like two days ago and still I was off by a factor of about two on the size.

Well, I did, 'twas getting two fets and a led inside each glass "shell" that was hard  :icon_mrgreen:

Perrow, is that a Fender reverb driver transformer? Where did you get that particular one?
