If you are asking me? (I assume so since my posts are the last 2)

Then yes they are all hand made, no machines (well the pcb was made by machine, I poplulated and built by hand)

I am damn glad, the 1590a are not one millimeter smaller in any dimension!

Hi Rich,
Funny that you ask. Because the filing job is so annoying, I indeed took some pictures during the process and thought about publishing them in the forum to warn you off!

But honestly - after the fact it is not as annoying as it feels during the deed (is this even halfway correct English?)

So, first I ordered a ton of these:

Then I measured with a calliper and incorporated the results into my etch mask.


The pilot-etch marks were drilled and filed.


Then I realised that I miss the correct screws and ordered these and these. (M2, 4mm).

The rest was swearing and re-filing.

This should give you the idea....

I did a similar process on the Tremblo.
I used M3 bolts. Threaded the enclosure and screwed down from the inside.
It did give me some issues.
The bolt head stopped the switchs(same ones as yours) from working properly. So I had to file down the heads of the fixings.
It was a ball ache but it still looks good.

Here's my take on a high gainer. A Wampler Triple Wreck without the boost section. I had to order thinner wires, because my usual .14mm² took up too much space..... 

Never to be opened again!

Well - I cheated a bit. Had to use 11 SMD parts, sorry. And I etched a double-sided board.
But I opened it up again and took a photo.

Yes, I held my breath and afterwards went straight to my test rig, more than half expecting to be greeted by that loud, familiar, annoying hum. BUT EVERYTHING'S STILL FINE. Still need a sign to remind me: Whatever the time - take a picture before closing the lid.
