I'm hoping to join this club too. Here are a couple of my first 1590As
A PTP SHO

And a fairly ambitious pair of boosts,  SHO & LPB, toggle between them with a dual color led

I feel a bit embarassed posting these on the heels of another immaculate D Zink build ;D

I think your the first person to fit two effects in one. nice.
Big Muff, Trotsky Drive, Little Angel, Valvecaster, Whisker Biscuit, Smash Drive, Green Ringer, Fuzz Face, Rangemaster, LPB1, Bazz Fuss/Buzz Box, Radioshack Fuzz, Blue Box, Fuzzrite, Tonepad Wah, EH Pulsar, NPN Tonebender, Torn's Peaker...

Very nice!
my double build went bad cause of 24mm pots... poop :(

great to see that it can be done, though. you beat me to it, and despite my desire never to work with these again, I'm cooking something fiendish up sometime within the next year  :icon_twisted:

ps, what are the white things on your PTP SHO?

Thankyou , I'm honoured.
I'm building another, a FF and Green Ringer as we speak

They're just white insulation (stripped off wire)- just where the wires fly over the jacks.

Okay my first venture into the  ¿¡Cult of EH!?  Somehow managed to squeeze a SHO in there, seems there's room to spare?  These little things could become quite addictive.

One down and one to go.
Take care

Adictive they are indeed, here's my latest double pedal entendre, The Ring Fuzz.
A Green Ringer running into a Muff Fuzz.

The toggle switches in the Fuzz which has a trim-pot for volume control.
The ringer works really well, lots of octave and little fundamental, the fuzz adds a nice snarly buzz.
I used two BC338 and a BC548 in the ringer and the different diodes but it works.
Muff Fuzz has 2N2222 and BC107, all the transistors came from a futurlec pack.

Okay - I'll bite - what's the ?P831E? - top left ?

Hi Dan,

It's an IRFD9024 Mosfet that's just on there for polarity protection (along with the zener and 1M resistor beside it), from an article on Geofex.  http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/mosswitch/mosswitch.htm

Nice work. I specially like the size comparence. Most people use a pick creative people use biscuits  ;D

Hi Dan!Veny good work here! And your graphics looks very nice!! Did you use waterslide decals?

Hey, I'm looking for a pahser that will fit in a 1590a enclosure... Can be a phase 45, no problem. Has anyone a layout? Can anyone make one for me? Thanks.

Govmnt_Lacky

If you look back into THIS thread, you will find an AWESOME Phase 90 layout by SOLDERMAN.

for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

....and here is a the project file and the PCB transfer file if you prefere a MXR Phase 45  ;)

Ps. My site actually got hacked last week. Rather funny that a DIY computer programmer (known as hacker) would hack a DIY stompbox site  ;D

My dream is to make Small Clone in 1590A. It's really hard, even with surface mounted resistors and chips (caps always film)

Hi Stepashka
Don't Dream about it, Do it. By the looks of your earlier work I can tell you have it in you.
I agree that it will be a hard nut to crack but that's the fun part and the challenge to take on.

If you're only looking for the Small Clone sound in a 1590a the Zobie Chorus is the answer. It sounds just like the Small Clone but can get deeper and more "Lesley" and is more versatile.
Here is a YouTube clip from a Spanish guy. (I think I don't speak Spanish)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ9Z6qdjzAE

BTW he used my layout witch makes me very glad since I think spreading information is the whole idée with the Net.

http://www.guitarristas.info/foro/f13/construccion-de-zombie-chorus-suena-serio-64946/

I don't understand what they are talking about but I hope its nice things. I tried to use Google translate but that only rendered words without any meaningful context.

If you still want to shrink the Small Clone I think that is doable without using surface mount (that's cheating  :D) if you use those small "blue caps" and all resistrors standing.

This is my Never Mind Zombie Chorus. It has the same amount and size of IC:s, including 2 pots and 1 switches and a lot of free space for the additional 15 resistors and 10 caps in the Small Clone.  ;)

Hi everyone from spain!!
hey, i´m the spanish dude that make your zombie chorus layout, It´s fitting in a strange tipe of box, never seen for pedal, industrial hermetic chase. The sound is amazing, and two chorus style mod too.
If you need something, only give me a toke.
Thank for all diyers of the world.

I thought a treble booster might sound good with my Vox AC4 TV ,so I built The Brian May Treble Booster and a One Knob Fuzz into a 1590A.

From left to right, the switches are: Treble/full range cap switch, booster/fuzz, and a switch between a silicon and germ tranny (Q2 of the fuzz)
Green Led

I built everything on perf and tried a small board mounted pot on the treble booster, the way the really good 1590A fiends do.

All the bits preassembly:

The other thing I tried was to use sockets as male plugs, so the swichable components can be moved around by anyone who wants to fiddle around with some tweezers.
For example, the trannies can be switched at Q1 or Q2 and the caps at input or output of either circuit. I'm pretty sure I stole that idea from someone too.

Overall a usefull and cool sounding gadget, if I say so myself...Thanks for looking!
