Wow, unless you got those at an army surplus store or something those amphenol military connectors must have cost a fortune.

If memory serves me, he wouldn't need an army surplus store to get hold of army equipment.

Industrial controls application?  Ha ha, I see 8020 extruded aluminum, and the instructions look like they are for pneumatic valves?  What kind of machine is this?

A really fancy medical-grade oil pump with a bunch of controls and fail-safe devices attached (the pneumatic valve below is one of them).  The 1590A is basically just a convenient way of routing the signals.

Also would have preferred to use foam instead of tape to move the board away from the enclosure but I didn't get any foam in the last shipment of parts  :-[

I use the budget black foam mouse pad. Cut em up. Works real good.

Does anybody know, who has the best price on the 1590A enclosures?  Thanks!

Earthscum

Mammoth has 4-Site 1590A's for $3.90, small bear has New Sensor 1590A's (1090NS) for $5.50, Pedal Parts Plus has Hammond 1590A for $7.30, and 1090NS for $4.25

If you are ordering stuff from one of these three, I'd just get a box while you're at it. If you make an order to Mammoth for a box or 2, but you gotta go through Steve (smallbear) for all your other parts, like 9mm pots, you may as well just save the shipping and get your box(es) through smallbear. Numbers game, really. Where ya shopping, and is it worth saving 50 cents to drive to another store across town?
Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

I posted my Superfly amp here a while ago, now (as some of you undoubtedly seen) I've posted a thread about it, with links to pcb and box layouts as well as some insider tips.

I love all of these tiny pedals posted here. And i have tried my own! (and i am really amazed of how can you fit so many pots in such small enclosures)
