I really like the 1590A designs here and am trying to keep my pedalboard as small as possible so I try to replace many of my pedals with smaller homebuild versions

I tried my hand on the Solderman 1590A Big wave (Ultra Flanger) and failed somehow... Does anybody know if Solderman is still around?

But to recover from frustration I made a 1590A Ampeg Scrambler clone based on a Fuzz Dog schematic with added volume control

Unfortunately the 10K trimpot to dial in the fuzz octave fried two of the three 2N5306 Darlingtons by dialing it in too far...
Luckily I had some BC182LB's lying around from a D*A*M Meathead clone and their ECB pinout makes for a neat Darlington conversion...

Thanx for the inspiration all!

Hi,
finished the solstice reverb, from Merlin, in a 1590a.

I made the layout with some components on the copper side.

Long time lurker and about to build my most challenging 1590a, but whilst buying parts I noticed these 'new' jacks on rapid. Pretty small footprint and are good quality too.

Thought it might be useful info to share?
I'll post pics of the finished pedal too, it's an EHX OD glove (OCD rev 3) using some SMD.

This is nothing world-changing, but as my third and most complicated (so far) 1590A build I think it's pretty cool 8) It's a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer built on one of Madbean's fabulous boards, and also using his fabulous drilling template or there's no way in hell I could have made it fit :P I recently finished a chorus I called the Dancing Banana, so I figured I would keep with the theme and make the Dancing Orange. Didn't turn out as clean, but again, I still think I'm cool 8)

Nicely done, Nathan! Any gut shots?

If you insist  :icon_redface:

I had run out of small caps (100n if I remember right) so one of them had to be "adjusted" to fit :P

... you can't just post that with no gutshot! It looks like you used Hammerspace to get everything in, and I'd like to see that :)
