these 1590 pedal boards are just the coolest!!   8)

Thanks for all kind words.
The MiniMan is actually "The real Mc coy" The others are the same type from Eddystone. An English company owned by Hammond. The Edistone is 4mm wider and 3 mm longer i think. I started to use them because they were half the price as the Hammond at my supplyer (www.Elfa.se) and found that those mm meant that I actualy coul build lot of things in them.

@Solderman and Dan: Absolutly awesome groupe pics! You both did a realy outstanding job on those. What I realy like about it - beside the size - is that you both found your "corporate design".

I just started work on my micro pedalboard!

Soon I will add a micro muff and micro chorus. Then I have to wait for the funds for the next pedals.

You squeezed it into a 1590A - you insane fool!  :icon_mrgreen:

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

I know it's not the hammond, but it's small, and still had room for the battery! Lol... it's a modified Bazz Fuss for my girlfriend, and it's her only effect, so figured the external battery is fine for her. Next version is getting put in the hammond... I love how tiny they are! And, I think I can squeeze a third control in there somewhere...  ;D

Give a man Fuzz, and he'll jam for a day... teach a man how to make a Fuzz and he'll never jam again!

OK
My girlfriend has the effect that she does not like when the kitchen table is full of electronic stuff. She has no battery though. She runs on here Girl power. I wouldn't dream on trying to squeeze in any controll at all any where    ;D

One that will seem familiar to you ;)

But I resized the layout even more, since I don't like to have my jacks up as high as yours.
11x16 holes in DIY layout creator is the max I use.

16x11? That's in the nano regain.

I meant 11 by 16 holes, not mm  ;D

It's the same size as my delay, phaser, big muff that I have posted.

LiquidMetal

This is my first project. I use CR2032 to power the LED. Thanks to all who helped with ideas and suggestions.

How's the battery life? What LED and resistor did you pair with it?

The resistor is 50 Ohms. The LED looks kind of orange because of the flashlight, but it is in fact a low-intensity red one. I used the pedal for few hours only so it is too early to judge; I will keep you posted how the battery life goes on.

A CR2032 has ~180mAh A low current 3mm red LED use ~2mA that would theoretical give 180/2=90h time.

So what pots are you guys using?
These are pretty small, but reduce the number of control layouts you can use.

Why is that ?

They have 3 lugs like a regular pot....?

I use them exclusively on my 1590 builds....

I think with some creativity I could fit 5....maybe 6 pots in an enclosure.....

As you might have seen I have focused on using as much as possible of the given space for the PCB. This way I can cram a lot of stuff in a small area. This gives me aprox 11 mm of component height to work with all aver the space. Since the hook up wire is one of the more space consuming parts I have tried to minimize this by using as much PCB mount stuff I can, Eg stomp switch and other switches. I have found that a tone control often is some thing that I don't use since there is enough EQ in the amp and on the guitar without using the one on the effect. That often saves me one pot but if I need more than 2 pots i go for the same ones as you linked and Dan showed as well. I used that type in the Copy Cat. If I only need two I use those 12mm and 0.5€
I have ordered thees low profile jacks to test but they are 5.3 € way to expensive.

Oh, those are the ones in your builds? I dunno, I guess I just wasn't thinking of using them how you did with the hookup wire. I felt that using them as PCB-mounted controls would limit the ways I could orient the PCB.

Thinking about doing a SHO in one of these babies, btw..

If you side mounted those, you could PCB mount them, if you used the alphas with 90 degree PCB mount lugs you could also mount 3 in the top, I bet you could get 10 pots in there with some "creativity", plus, the could all be PCB mount.
