So what pots are you guys using?
These are pretty small, but reduce the number of control layouts you can use.

Why is that ?

I think with some creativity I could fit 5....maybe 6 pots in an enclosure.....

Dan

If you side mounted those, you could PCB mount them, if you used the alphas with 90 degree PCB mount lugs you could also mount 3 in the top, I bet you could get 10 pots in there with some "creativity", plus, the could all be PCB mount.
I used a half way solution where the 2 PCB: are hooked up by wire.

I'm having a real "how come I didn't think of that, I'm so stupid" moment here. Now I know how I'll wire my PCB mount pots next time. D'oh. Thanks  :).

Not finished yet, but I want some painting advice!

The one on the left is a chorus. And I am definitely using blue. At the moment I was thinking of adding a white stripe, lenghtwise along the middle of the entire pedal.
Any other good ideas?

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

I think you should T-shirt transfer this onto it.

Here are my first two mini-pedals:

Distortion+ and a SHO, next two are a VMD Fuzz and a Fuzz Face NPN  :icon_biggrin:

What did you use to label these?

Nice "zipped" PCB. Why not something in the "newtron bomb" style hat ever that can be :D

Adhesive sheet for inkjet printer and some layers of clearcoat. A classic one ;)

Ok, I'll take an image from the guts as soon as I can.

Sorry, I have mispelled the first one... it is a VM Fuzz (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=65251.0)

Here are:

And here are the VM Fuzz and the FuzzFace waiting for enclosure (still drying the paint)  ;D

EA tremolo with a few minor mods to suit the components I had to hand.
It's been a while since I designed a PCB layout and to be honest, I was inspired by the other designs on here that put as much as possible on the board. IMHO it really is the way to go if you have board making equipment to hand.
Measuring the drill hole positions was a bit of a challenge, but I was lucky and everything fitted ok, apart from the pot holes which required filing. If anyone has any tips on accurate hole placement, I would really like to hear them! :)

Now, what colour to paint it......?

Another one with the mini virus :D
Looks good. I'd say go nuts with the paintjob, as there is not a lot of room for graphics.

It is empty. But I have my examinations atm, so no time for etching the board. Layout is done and components are ready for soldering.
Since I already did the paintjob I decided to show off already.

Good luck with the examinations. We will wait patiently. BTW patients is one of the most valuable tools for a stomp box DIY ;D
