My soldering job will probably make most cringe but this has been considerably neater than most of my other builds aside that. I'll need to invest in some new wire also, this stuff is a bit rubbish.

Also would have preferred to use foam instead of tape to move the board away from the enclosure but I didn't get any foam in the last shipment of parts  :-[

looks pretty neat.

the photo makes it look like the lugs on the 3pdt aren't all in line?

Wow! She's a beauty!

Got any gutshots? I feel like its a super tight squeeze!

Nice handwriting, by the way

Perrow

Posted the gut shot in the Superfly thread, but ill repost it here. Tight squeeze it was.

As for the handwriting, I'm glad I could use a piece of tissue to erase and start over (lots of times) cause my handwriting isn't that good :( And some of it smudged a bit when I hit it with clear coat, but from a distance it looks good :)

Brasso gets rid of pen quite well I discovered.  :icon_lol: Probably also paint coats like that too

That looks amazing though, what a squeeze indeed  :)

If you're clearcoating, some very fine grade wet sandpaper will take the writing off with little effort and the next coats of clear after the sanding will take care of any dulling of the surface. I clearcoat, then do any writing i want and then top with more clear, makes for easy correction of the handwriting.

dave

And i should add Perrow, you've set the standard, an amazing piece of work you've done there!!!

The pen I used can actually be wiped off with the finger or a piece of paper. I tried to use just a paper to keep the area clean, but I think something got in there together with the "Gain" text, as it got a little fuzzy (it would have been perfect if I'd called it "Fuzz"  :D). The other texts survived so I guess it's an ok technique to use.

(reminder to self, never magnify your hand writing that much, looks like a five year old written that)

"Setting the standard" - Thanks, I'm humbled by comments like that. While I've spent (easily) more than a hundred hours in planning this build, mostly redrawing the layout in DIYLC, and I'm extremely proud of it, and I know it's quite an accomplishment, I still have problems seeing it measure up to many of the builds here.

I'm new to the pedal building scene so thought I would start with a few easy ones.

Guts are a bit messy but I am a n00b at the moment.

Here is my basic A-B Switch with bi-colour led:

Here is my Super Hard On Clone:

Here is my Thing-A-Ma-Bob from a layout on this forum, kind of a fuzz but at the right point on the pot it gets the old 8-bit style sound:

Will be doing some more soon, just gotta find those tiny vero layouts (all I am capable of right now)

CrazyTrain

They are not quite 1590A because they're smaller (89mm/35mm/29mm) but still, very close :)
