Nice first post, you're challenging my title as 1590A squeezer  :icon_eek:
Hi Pelle
I'm very impressed of your super fly build. Actually a bit jealous to be honest. Fett cool skulle man kunna säga.  But I'm not sure about to home the title as 1590A squeezer belongs. I'm willing to through in those two as challenging examples. We have to settle the nationals before we go global ;D ;D

But that's not all. I've been spending too much time diving and building submersible high effect LED lamps. So it's high time to take a firm grip on the old solder iron and dig out some interesting components, fire up the PCB layout application and do some serious amplifier PCB shrinking. I happen to have a EH 12aX7 and a EL90 pentode full size tube and a 127A laying around from an earlier project that never happened. And as it happens I have an unused 1590A as well. So in a couple of month I will publish them put together here (I hope).
And I will call I the "High Flyve" (bad joke)

Finally got the kinks worked out in my Green Ringer (aka Ugly Frog) so I figured I'd post it. I was having a problem with a buzzing when I used a power supply but not when I used a battery. Turns out a 100R resistor from the V+ fixed that right up! Here's the beastie:

My wife loves to paint my pedals when I'm at band rehearsal so I never know what I'm gonna get sometimes! I guess this is her artistic interpretation of what an "ugly frog" would be.  :icon_lol:

Very cool pedal though. It adds a whole new dimension to my distortions, and makes a wah sound freakishly killer. Can't wait to get it added to the board!

Hi
Well, I don't think that it will pose any bigger difficulties than the ones Pelle surly went trough when he made his. (plausibly gray hair, burnt out mind , nerves brake down etc  ;D) I'll just turn the trafo the other way around. I might ditch the tone pot since I always seem to have mine at 100%. I surly will put in a blue 3mm indicator LED. I have to do some bench testing cause the EL 90 can put out 4,5 W and that might push the Nixi type power supply over the top.

While I'm quite impressed by your feat, and you can certainly pee farther than I, Rick, am I wrong in thinking that yours is a 1590b, and his  would be a 1590a?

Thanks! And yes, I wanted a nearly neon green paint for it. It's a rustoleum color :)

Working on a little hand-painted pedal mojo this morning/afternoon. I don't care for labels. It takes the "hand made" out of it, imo.  :icon_mrgreen:

This is actually an Eddystone enclosure, but I hope it's near enough. Mad Prof DBD, layout from fsb. One knob is missing as my supplier ran out.

there's some amazing work in here people!!.. :icon_cool:

I started on some of my own 1590a pedals a while ago (mostly inspired by some of solderman's pics).. nearly completed putting them all on one board, but waiting on some parts for that.. here's what I've made (some wont be on my board, just not sure what).

first 1590a build (got me hooked) 1590a - Rick's little angel

BJFE SBEQ

hotcake

mad professor deep blue delay

la vache

heartthrob tremolo

bsiabII

wampler triple wreck

ROG tri-vibe

dr. boogey (had to cheat a lil by using SMD trimmers )

zombie chorus

another puddleduck delay (for a mate - photos don't do the paintjob justice)

nother hotcake (for same mate)

I think all the layouts are my own except the lil angel... but I did get a lot of 'inspiration' from solderman ;)

Terrific collection, you must have patience in spades!

the BSIABII has me a bit confused though.. it seems to have way less gain than my GGG version, but I've gone over the layout time and again and can't figure what I've goofed...  tired a bunch of jfets, but just doesn't go nutso like the GGG one. ???
