The matter is match the stompbox color with the decal base color. It's needed to do some tryings before do the final transfer.

I just now understood what you meant by this. I thought you'd gone and used a sharp knife to trim close to the edges of the letters.. thought you'd had some crazy patience to do that, but now I get it.. there's a base colour under the graphics which matches the pedal colour.. ugh.. I only have a monochrome printer :-(. ah well.. I might just make some anyway, but with 'joined' kind of letters and a white outline.. cut round them. :icon_redface:

Go for it!

(To illustrate the method, not an "A" box.)

I thought this thread could do with another SHO  ::)  It's my first 1590a and funnily enough I used the same technique mentioned on the previous page for the graphic.  :D

I like Big Muffs! and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny...

standard laptop PSU (round 20VDC) and a filter to 3X regulated filtered (but common earth) 9V output jacks..

Any schematic of that box? I also have a laptop PSU I would like to use.  :icon_biggrin:

not a schematic as such.. just (from memory) =<30VDC in
220uF across the 30V to ground.
then common ground and +(=<)30V in to 3X parallel 7809 (to220) with a 100nF cap across either side (the +(=<)30V to earth, and the +9V to earth)
common earth, to each individual +9V output

I could try to make up a schem in photofltre, but I'm not sure it's worth the time... it's pretty basic stuff .... I know this cos I'm a complete theory numpty and it's not beyond me so  ??? :icon_redface:

So do you guys do your offboard wiring like this inside the enclosure THEN add the board?

I tend to wire my pots to the board outside the housing, and estimate how long the wires need to be.
I wire the switch and jacks in the housing though.

Sacorus

Overdrive with Purple LED - Dark sounding with Fuzz on last 10% of the gain control, has huge amount of output for such a little box!

Tested it out at Band Practice last night playing Bass  :icon_razz: Fat & Meaty

Hmmm, where to find control knobs that correctly fit those 9mm pots?

What is the hole under the knob?
Was it planned for a led? ;)

It looks like it holds the pot in place. All the pots I get have those tabs that are on top of pot. Just a guess. :)

potentiometer tabs. i never break them off. makes centering pots and tightening easier. also a plus for users when nuts loosen out after some time.

at €4.23, here's a link to that enclosure, suppose the product code 343-9861 is the same on all their shops
11451PSLA

There's a shop close to my office, place the order tonigh via internet and tomorrow at midday is ready to pick up, so saving also on shipping costs  ;)
