OK, so I didn't give up just yet...   ::)

Joe Davisson's "EZ-250" overdrive, and a Bazz Fuss on a Poodle's board.

Glad you didn't give up.  Both look great.  I particularly like the EZ-250

Thanks, pickdropper.  Not too shabby for a mere mortal, eh?   <*prostrates self*>   :icon_wink:

Not too shabby at all.  :-)

Here's my latest effort.  It's a Belton brick based 1590a verb using CultureJam's box of hall circuit.  I wanted to use full-sized jacks, so I had to put a cutout in the PCB.  If the brick sits directly on the jacks (and they are mounted as low as possible) the brick fits in the recess of the bottom cover without issues.

First two pics the color is too blue.  It is closer to correct on the third pic.

Well this... this is just silly... this can't fit in a 1590B... can it? And you're not even using SMD you mad man!

My first ever post round these parts.

These are not nearly as fancy as some of the preceding posts but they represent my first attempts at stompbox building.

I know this can't compete with the rest of the graphics in this thread.

Why would you say that? I really like it.

Me too.  The graphics are great.

@joelster: those are pretty cool too.  If those are first attempts, then pickdropper has competition coming in a few months!   ;)

Agreed.  I think the graphics look great on that enclosure.

pickdropper

Joelster, looks like you are off to a great start.  I really dig the finish on that Si FF enclosure.

Thanks, guys.

The reality is that I have built lots of other stuff (tube amps and patch bays in 1590b boxes) but these are my first effects. An obsession with 1590a boxes made me do it...

I have been experimenting with finishing techniques. I'm trying to get that Spirit of St. Louis look but it's difficult because aluminum is so soft. The orange Fuzz Face is coated with guitar lacquer that I had around and a poly clear coat.

pickdropper

This is a buffered Klon layout I did.  I decided to try a bit of a worn finish on the enclosure.

Hey, Pickdropper.

I'm sure you've probably answered this already but I'm just too lazy to go back thought this whole thread but...

Where do you get those lovely boards made?

Hey Joelster , I has that particular board done at ITeadStudio.
