Actually, there two diodes on the schem are the LEDs.  :-)

Either I'm partially blind or I thought those were yelly beans  ::)

I'd go to the optician if I could just find the number  :icon_mrgreen:

I'm still giving up the bullshit verdict on the schem though ;)

Wait I think there's still a smiley I haven't used in this post  :P

Keep going, I am sure you can use all the smileys.   :icon_mrgreen:

Ok I've followed this thread all the way I have build a enclosures but they were just buffers. Long story short last night a friend gave me a box of jacks and I hit the gold mine! Tell me those aren't the perfect jacks for an a enclosure small and connected couldn't take less space if there were none!

Does anyone care to share their 1590A drilling templates?

I never use templates. They really hinder me in getting a large circuit in a box. I use a set of digital calipers and a calculator. That way I can maximize precious space.

I'm sorry sir, we only have the regular ohms.

deadastronaut

i use inkscape (free btw) , i use digital calipers to measure the 'face' of boxes etc , then make templates for the size of box, , import 'scaled' pots 'jacks' 'dc' led''  etc and move around till happy...and then put a 1mm dot in the centres of where pots etc go...

remove parts, leavig just dots in place....

print to size ,  cutout, stick to box, centre punch..

if etching i just use the etch .. 8)

Thanks All. I haven't been able to pick up any 1590A boxes lately so I made a box out of cardboard so I could solder up a few harnesses for boards I made. Hopefully they will work in the real boxes when I get them.

digital calipers

Pfft, everyone knows analog calipers sound better.

Yeah, I find the dial mechanism to be much warmer sounding.  :-p

My first 1590A build pedal build! I've done things like a Road Rage in a 1590A before, but this is the first real pedal! Now, it pales compared to some 1590As I've seen in this place, but it's a start. It's a 1-knob Fuzz Face with Germanium OC141s.

I love the multi-colored shrink tubing on the transistor leads... both functional & artistic  :icon_cool:

It's just left overs from stripped wires :) not heat shrink

So, chorus is not too deep, i made it one knob. Another idea was to use no wire.

Can anyone post a pic of a flashing knob like this one without the knob itself?
Im coming up with my 2nd 1590a build, a tremolo. and need to see how this flashing knob is done ;D

Really starting to respect your amazing building skills after my first 1590a build, 3rd build in total :D
You guys are really inspiring ;)
It's not always easy, but it's never impossible :D

I'm guessing it's a pot with a built-in LED.. I've been looking for them, but haven't found a supplier yet.
