And this time I'm starting with the distortion pedals!



This is a plexitone, layout by Big Louis, with the hi-gain side, I'm really proud of that bottom etch! Now I can start etching more pictures.



This one is a fuzz face, and it was easy! I should have started doing this boxes with this one, and not the BMP, easy and sounds good!

Anyone have an alternate source ? I see Musikding has a Lumberg variant (kbm63olum) but any on this side of the pond ?

Mouser doesn't stock them but they will special order them.  A few months ago, somebody on Madbean's site did a group buy that went well.  I think the number we had to reach was 1000 pcs, but they were inexpensive enough that getting people to buy 50 or more at a time wasn't an issue.  I wish I had bought more of them.

Smallbear carries a good one - it's not Lumberg, but it's just as good (unlike some of the other cheapy ones that were floating around). Also, Chromosphere's store carries them and shipping is actually reasonable out of Australia for them (http://www.diyguitarpedals.com.au/shop/).

I hope it's better quality than their version of the Lumburg small DC jacks.  We used those for FFX prototyping and had a few of them had the metal sleeve pull apart during light use.  Needless to say, we are using the real Lumbergs for production even though they are a bit less convenient to get.

Yeah, I think that is the case, Dave.  Most folks associate Lumberg with DC jacks, so that might be where the confusion lies.  Dan was originally referring to Kobiconn 1/4" jacks but did find a Lumberg equivalent.

If Jon is talking about Lumberg DC jacks, I respectfully disagree about the quality compared to Lumberg.  I've generally found Small Bear's versions of hardware to be high quality, but those Lumberg equivalents had a couple of issues.  The two that bothered me were the sleeve pulling out and the really poor threading for the nut that results in very easy cross-threading.  The quality of the nut itself isn't very good either.  I had a couple that wouldn't tighten down and it turned out to be the nut.  Steve may want to go back to the supplier and see if they can improve them.

I really need to email Steve about it.  I haven't done it yet and I think he would find this information useful.  I know he cares about the quality of his products.

This is an amazing thread.   This is my engineers thumb.  This is the only 1590A I've build that I think is share worthy.  I used the actual schematic for the background.  I forget how I got that effect, Gimp was just cooperating with me this time I guess.  Most of my builds are not this pretty, but I'm please how this one turned out.
