Well thank you!   Much appreciation for the effort required.

One LED and 6 LDRs?  Gotta wonder about the physical arrangement and the brightness of the LED.  That's one whole heckuva lot of  photocell surface to cover!

Yes it must be a really tight squeeze! Hard to tell exactly from the pics but it looks like the cover is about 3/4".
If either were mine I would probably try to take the cover off but I wouldn't ask any else.

Thanks!  I have a busted ones, they used the clarex (sp?) led and dual LDRs in them, IIRC.  So I gues the LED is just showing for all of the LEDs.

Both boards were the same.
LED and LDRs are crammed under that cover below the switch and to the right of the trimmer and transistor.

Open?  I got it cheap busted with no bottom plate.  Will get some pictures this evening.
