Not sure if this is quite the right forum, but....

I have a Crybaby Bass, which I really love. Its bypass is activated by taking your foot of the pedal so it returns to fully open position. Sadly, I had it in storage for about a year, and the pedal was being pushed by a box or something, so now it never fully opens, unless I hold my foot on the heel of the pedal.

Any thoughts on how to give the spring some new springiness?...In the mean time I'll crack her open and see if there's some gunk blockage or something.

I have never seen it. Pictures would help. It sounds like its fixable.

Class A booster , Dod 250 , Jfet booster, Optical Tremolo, Little Gem 2,  mosfet boost, Super fuzz , ESP stand alone spring reverb red Llama omni-drive , splitter blender ,

NEVER use gorilla glue for guitar repairs! It's Titebond , Elmers, or Superglue

For the record, I spoke to a tech a Dunlop, and he diagnosed this problem as a faulty switch. They shipped me a new one free of charge!
