I've got lots of parts and a nice stack of strip-board. I've built a couple fuzzes that were ok. An Electra Distortion. Ok. Muff Fuzz is good. I've seen many layouts in the gallery here but I really don't want to waste parts on something that's not well received. I want to build the Red Llama i've seen. Need some more parts. Can't find a 330u electrolytic cap. I really want the perfect fuzz but that's probably a dream. Anything that would really be worth while.

Thanks for anyone with a good point of direction for me.

Red llama is a really cool pedal to build. I have made 2 and will probably build some more yet lol. The 330uF cap was the bane of my life till I asked on here and then put a 470uF cap in. Works a treat . The only downside to the cap is its size so maybe look out for a micro electrolytic so if fits in the pedal box.

Another couple of cool ones I have built recently are the Harmonic Jerkulator using 2N3904 and 2N3906 instead of GE put still works pretty cool.

You might want to try something a bit more mad like a crash sync or a PWM as both are fun circuits.

Hope this hepls

you can just as asily use a 100u or 220u instead of the 330u cap in the llama...its for ps filtering, so any large value is fine.

perfect fuzz...yeah, good luck with that...every time i build the perfect one, i find the need to build a "more perfect" one ! :)

addiction is a messy thing.

I've built 3 opamp Big Muffs from Gila Crisis' vero layout so far and they've all been great.

The Dragonfly layout for the Colorsound trem worked well for me too but others have seemed to have trouble.

BTW...everyone seems to really like the Colorsound One Knob Fuzz....theres a full "build tutorial" in my gallery.

Thanks for the suggestions. And the info for the Llama. How about the 51p cap. Is that one really important?

Dragonfly, yeah your gallery has lots of nice ones.

Thanks. I hope its helpful in making some cool effects for yourself !

You can use a 47pF in place of the 51pF :)

Hey thanks. Yeah i need that one cap for the Llama.
I've built over 30 kits and really need to get rid of some. Sell them once I get them all painted. Come on spring! This time I feel like starting from scratch so to say with some layouts i see around.
