It seems those ICs stay in sockets all too well. I usually find myself trying to pry them out with tweezers and tonight I got the best of a JRC4558 and chipped a corner off it.  :icon_sad: (It still works!)

What do you use to quickly and easily remove those stubborn chips?

I just slide a toothpick under one side, lift a little, then go to the other.  Continue until it's out.  A toothpick will break before your IC does : )
Built: Fuzz Face, Big Muff Pi (Stock), Distortion + (Germanium and Silicon versions)

flat tip screwdriver.
push it unde one side and the further you push the thicker the tip gets and the IC comes out of the socket
