Hi everyone,

i have a GCB95 and i did the mod find there http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/mods/dunlop.htm

but now....zip nothing.... "IT'S DEAD JIM" ...no more wah...no sound.... :icon_eek:

so i reverse the mod to original...nothing..... :icon_frown:

make some probe and find that i have sound on one side of the 33K ( parallel to the inductor) but not on the other side.... verify the resistor and it's ok...

so i think it's the inductor that past away  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
but it's my first time with inductor....
i took it out of the board and put on the DMM resistor option, and nothing pass...it's open...
my question is:
- should i have some sort of reading on my meter when testing it?
- this is my meter http://www.patriot-supply.com/products/showitem.cfm/66366 , can i test inductor with it ?
- can i make it blow with the mod? never read a inductor blow by those mod...

I already order a Red and Yellow Falsel inductor, i want to see the difference in the sound....

How about if you do the continuity test on that inductor? Still Open?
Even If you've put a broken inductor, you should have the sound coming out of the pedal. It won't wah, only treble change.

Look at the technology of wah pedal at GEO.

i try to test the inductor to see if the signal pass like i do to know the value of a resistor...and nothing pass... is that what you mean?

no sound at all.....

i will have to probe again and have a look at GEO technology of the wah...

Well, maybe you do have broken your inductor :-\ But since the wire of the inductor is coated with non-conductive material, be sure that you do the measurement on the un-coated part the wire.

The mod you've mentioned is dealing with lot of components removal and cutting the tace. Double check your wiring, look for solder bulb, wrong trace,  etc.

since i dont have sound at all, i wonder if i blow out a transistor.....

use an audio probe and find where the sound is cut off, might be wiring...

you cant blow anything on a wah circuit by simply putting a resistor in the wrong place..

on the other hand, if you put something like 1 watt into a wah, yeah id say you cooked it.

make sure you put the right values in the right places.

make sure you have it all soldered up correctly, check for loose wires, fresh battery, ETC...
