I was messing around on the breadboard and came up with this monstrosity. May your ears be fearful.

OSCILLATION MADNESS SOUND CLIP !

:o

Awesome.

I'm not sure you should post the schem to that.  You shold probly just try to market it.

And it'll give the guys at that other forum something to bitch about.

YAY!!!!
how simple is it????

oh, and is it just an osc on its own, or is it a guitar pedal?

Its a volume pot pitch controlled oscillating guitar fuzz !  :icon_twisted:

Unfortunately it wont "shut up" ! If I can get it more "controllable" then I might have something !  :D

birt

maybe it shuts up entirely if you build it on anything else instead of breadboard :p

Can't get it to shut up?  I thought that's what bypass switches were for...  ;D

Dragonfly, maybe you are seeking a way of shuting up the fuzz, that does't involve gating? that would be  actually interesting

In a fight between this thing and a bypass switch, I might be inclined to bet on the fuzz !  :)

Its likely that I just need to find a balance between "all out chaos"  and "off". :)

Cool. I'm interested :icon_twisted:.

I'm gonna play around with it some more and see if I can make it at least "semi-controllable".

You need a glade plug-in, in on a footswitch.  Kick on the big muff, then hit the air freshener pedal.

When I built "the many faces of fuzz" from RoG and Folkurban, I was able to get some similar volume knob-controlled oscillations at certain settings.  But nothing that extreme.

Good job on the tone, it's actually pretty pleasing to the ear most of the time.  :)

My quasi-working Minimum Theremin has been staring at me from the breadboard too!  Darn taxes...

I must know how to build this.

Where this pedal would shine is with a momentary switch.  Hold it down and you have an outburst of crazy oscillation, but as soon as you let up on it it goes back to normal.

Or maybe a foot controlled pot that rocks back and forth between osc. and no osc?

now that would make for a killer pedal.
