TO-92 mosfet = power mosfet???

i wanted to build the ROG omega but i cant find any TO-92 type mosfets here [small signal]
can i use irf's or other power mosfets instead? theyre the same type [enhancement??] anyway...
i have lots of spare power mosfets here...

  Yes I did..it worked.
  Thing to notice about power mosfets is the gate/source capacitence, of course when used as source follower, a cap there is more or less inconsequential IIUC.
  But I built boosters with them too, and the gate/source LP filter...well...made it so I didn't need much more or any LP filter.

I used an IRF150 from radio shack to build a SHO when the schematic first came out. The clipping was harsh, but it did indeed boost.
