So i got one of the matched pair of transistors. It comes with what resistors should be used to get 4.5 volts. It says:

R3 - 39k
R4 - 680
R5 - 7.5k
R6 - 120 k

For what Fuzz Face layout is this for? I'm pretty sure it's actually for the Bear Face. It says Fuzz Face/Bear Face on the insert. Most Fuzz Face layouts i've found only have 4 or 5 resistors. I just want to make a simple PNP Fuzz Face. But want to use what it says to get the volts right. Any help on what resistors these should be? Just looking at the one below minus the 1M, which i figure is the pulldown resistor added, and looking at the Bear Face, I think it might be this for the recommended values:

R1 - 680
R2 - 39k
R3 - 1m pulldown
R4 - 7.5k
R5 - 120k

Here is the one i looked at:

Also, what would be the best layout for a perfboard layout Fuzz Face. I've seen a few different ones in the gallery here.
Thanks.

I think you have the resistors and the circuit right. I expect most perfboard layouts would be fine.

I had to ask myself this exact question last night.  :D
Your assumptions about which values go where are correct. The values smallbear provide match their Bear Face schematic; and that portion of their schem matches the Fuzz Face schem.

Yeah thanks for clarifying. I was getting more sure as I looked at it. I just have to series a couple resistors to get 7.5k for now.

Yo

He tunes the resistors from our well known fuzz face values....the normal 33k....becomes  39k .the 470 ohm to 680 ohm, 8.2k  is 7.5k  the 100k is 120k. There's only 4 resistors in a fuzz face so its shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Good times ahead....
