I may be wrong but I think Boss just wanted  people to buy not only their fx pedals but their adapter as well .

My seventies Japanese CE-2 chorus needed a 12v adapter for the 9 volts inside because a resistor brought a regular 9 volts down to an unusable voltage : it didn't function anymore.

I find this highly misleading.

They do this so we have to purchase adapters for our one spots. :-)

Aron, I saw you post something about this in the lounge, too, and I have to admit, I'm confused.

I just checked, and my One Spot is center negative, and the only other thing I bought to go with it was the daisy chain (which, obviously doesn't switch the polarity, or I'd have a smoking pedal board lol).

Am I missing something here?

I think it was a TS10 I bought circa 1991 that actually said somewhere on the box to only use an Ibanez power supply.  After chuckling, I plugged in my Boss.  Nothing blew up.  I wonder why not??

The Boss BF-1 flangers I have indicate 9v on the chassis but 12v on the service notes.  They sweep MUCH better with 12v.
