G Day all

What order do you do your builds in ?

After  you populate your pcb what order do you work from there .

Is it best to drill the enclosure and have all your wiring on the pcb done then do the pots switch etc while there in the enclosure .

Any and all tips would be a big help

Thanx

I tend to it in this order:

1. Compile all the parts
2. Sketch a layout for the enclosure
3. Drill the enclosure
4. Sand
5. Prime
6. Paint
7. Decal

Next Day
8. Clear Coat (3 or 4 coats depending on the enclosure - usually sanding in between)
9. Build the circuit

2-4 Days later
10. Confirm that clear coat has cured
11. Populate the enclosure

Sometimes I do things in a slightly different order (I have a number of circuits that are built, just waiting for the enclosure).

The main thing for me is to make sure that I give the enclosure enough time to cure.

Stupid patience... always getting in my way.  :icon_rolleyes:
