Adding LED to Foxx Tone Machine octave switch.

I'm should be boxing up my GGG Foxx Tone Machine clone this week.  Need something more sturdy to replace my $10 Dano French Toast (which is more than killer for $10 BTW).  Plus I'd really prefer to have the octave on a stomp switch.  Anyway...

Can someone confirm how to wire in an LED on the octave switch using a 3PDT switch?  I know it's not necessary to use a 3PDT, but I have more of those laying around than anything else.

Looking at this photo at GGG...

I'm assuming the LED is connected to the switch via the black wires.  Is one wire from the switch to the LED cathode and the other to ground?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah seems to be correct from what i can see. And also if you wanted to add led to any other switch that would be the way i would do it

You can use a DPDT switch to do the trick, one circuit use it for the octave switching and the another for the led. The center lug of the switch to ground and the side lug to the cathode of the led (the anode connected to +V with a resistor). OR you can connect the LED cathode to ground and make the switching with +V, both ways are usable.

i just build a tone machine too and this thing rocks!!! i think it's a bit sad that not so many people here speak about it
