quick opamp question

this is part of a dual in a schematic. Can i use this opamp for a different purpose? I lack one and dont want to add another chip to hte layout.

That's just an unused half of an opamp, it's connected up like that to stop it oscillating or creating any noise. You can probably us it to do something if you want to. What schematic is it from?

I found some opamp schematics explaining exactly what you confirmed, so i will use this unused opamp.
