Hey everyone, found this on my trails and thought someone might be interested!

Its an article about someone making their own Mesa DR it was pretty informative. Its in german, but i ran it through google translator and it seemed pretty decent.

Love it. Great pics and great end result.
One of my goals with this hobby is to make a tube amp. Long way off but this is great inspiration, and buying an old amp off ebay for parts had never crossed my mind.

id love to make a dual rectifier but i dont have the knowledge, experience or time required! hope someone here does it though, would be great to see!

recto is in the essence a clone of SLO and there's a SLO clone forum dedicated to cloning this amp with well documented and road tested layouts. I recommend trying that. It's a three channel amp with two channels footswitchable and sounds great (just built one).

I'll have to check that forum out. My goal is a multi-channel footswitchable tube amp, as I currently love my old multi-channel Laney only it's SS so I'd like to mess with tubes.

I like the DIY LDRs he made for channel switching. When I built my SLO clone I used relays.
It's nice seeing that circuit built with turret board - I'd wager it sounds better than the Mesa original.
He did a really good job with the chassis and cabinet as well!
