So I'm building my first pedal and I need a jumper. I'm assuming that I just put run a wire through the two holes and solder both ends. Is that right? Or do I need a special part?

Thanks.

I find starting long and then soldering once before trimming makes it easier to handle.

Awesome. That's what my plan was, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

make sure you put the wire on the "component" side and not the "copper" side of the board.
good luck finding a wire :P

using the trimmed resistor leads as wires...
Solid core wire is generally easier to work with, great for short, under the board runs, offboard wires generally do better as stranded wire.
