looks like the output (or input?) cap is a styroflex cap.  but what type is the small black cap? never seen anything like it.
the electrolytics seem to be HUGE  :o
the resistors don't look like the usual carbon comp type - anybody know what they are?

Sorry can`t answer any of these questions. My mind is boggling from the winning bid.

yeah.. way too  much considering it's been modded (to accept standard 9 volt batteries) and it doesn't even come with the original packaging... there have been nicer ones on ebay that went for far less.

How did the the original ones run, power wise that is?

Ok, I`ve calmed down now.

Yes I know the Rangemaster has historical significance in the field of Rock/Blues and it probably went to a collector as opposed to a musician.

Still.

Can`t answer your questions except to say that the resistors look the same as those in the model used to illustrate the Geofex article.http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/Rangemaster/DRM2.jpg

Judging by the winners past purchases it either went to a studio or a musician...

That makes it even weirder to me. It must have been purchased as some sort of Uber-Mojo, status symbol. My mind is boggling again.

Note to self: Build a Rangemaster. Where`s my stash of OC71`s disappeared to? ;D

Now, I thought I was a bit weird...  :-\
