lots of single loops and A/Bs out there, but i was hoping to find a mechanism to switch between two loops, both going to one common output; no bypass mode needed. is this possible with one 3PDT switch?
my car is so slow i piss off amish people....

scroll down a bit and youll see a schematic i did for another guy, but his version is a feedback loop and has the ability to switch between orders like IN>>LOOP A>>LOOP B>>OUT to IN>>LOOP B>>LOOP A>>>OUT
unfortunetly no leds can be used to indicate whats what

wait... thats not what you meant
umm here

You can easily do that with a DPDT, or a 3PDT (and use the 3rd row of terminals for 2 different LEDs or something).

If I'm understanding you, you just want to switch from one signal path to another, right?

Isn't that what people do when they go from "true bypass" to "effect?"  Two signal paths, common output.
When the switch is "on," that selects Loop A, and when it's "bypassed," that selects Loop B.  It's just a problem of labeling.

...Well, that and the extra jacks.

thanks ambulance. that is exactly what i need. ill be rigging that up tonight most likely. in your opinion, do you think i should put a buffer on the output. both loops will have boss pedals in them (in addition to the homebrew boxes) so it may be redundant. what do you think?

The diagram ambulancevoice posted doesn't need any buffers.  It's electrically equivalent to just plugging straight into one set of pedals or the other.

One bonus feature (if you choose to implement it), you could use a single switching jack to short one loop when no cables are connected, and it doubles as a true bypass box.
