General Guitar Gadgets ITS8 Volume Question

I just finished my GGG ITS8 and had a question.
I built it with symetrical clipping and when I have it in symetrical it is not as loud as it is when it is in the middle (clean boost) or using the 2 LED clipping path.
The clean boost and LED clipping path are about the same volume.
Is this normal?

I built one using asymetrical clipping two germ diodes and one si and the diode side is louder than the 2 LED side and should be, check to make sure your diodes are facing right other than that, I have no idea why...
put it together, now take it apart

Yes the LED should be louder than the clipping diodes. It also makes sense the clean boost is louder (should prob be the loudest). Unless there is a HUGE difference in volume it sounds ok.

Just finished one, and I'd already built another a while back. This is normal operation.
Pedals Built- Morley ABC Box, Fultone A/B Box, DIY Stompboxes True Bypass box, GGG Drop in Wah, AMZ Mosfet Boost, ROG Flipster, ROG Tonemender, Tonepad Big Muff Pi.
On the bench:  Rebote 2.5,  Dr Boogie, TS808

Then why is my asym diode clipping louder than the LED"S ? I asked this question to the GGG guy and he stated that the 2 germ 1 si would be louder than the LED's...? More gain as well right?

@23, if the total forward voltage of your diodes combined is more than the LEDs, then they will be louder. Same reason that single LEDs are louder than single silicon diodes.
