Hello,

I found a topic here which have the schematic of very rare Tonebender Mk I.
The trannies that appear in the schematic are very mysterious for me: 2C381.

After reading the post it isn't clear to me what trannies i can use instead of them: some with big hfe (over 90) as somebody told he found in a reissue or some with low hfe (about 30) as somebody said he found in some datasheets?

Can anybody post some voltages?

Thx a lot!

i haven't read the post but, did you try searching for 2sc381?

Great MKI (and MKII) info and circuit pics right here.  You'll be able to see the transistors in one of the MKI circuits right there:  http://www.stompboxes.co.uk/gpage1.html2.html

@Orpheus: Wow...thx for the link...i saw that i made a big mistake...the trannies are 2G381, not 2C381!!!
i found on this link the datasheet for it: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/2G381-datasheet.html
as i said, there are trannies with a hfe>=30...equivalents are AC128 and 2N2706 as here: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/crossreference/2G381.html

the only problems remains the gains...i have no ideea about...i will try, anyway!

@foxfire: 2SC381 is a npn transistor...thx anyway!
