Thanks Aron.

What does 'VB' mean in the schematic?

Am I being dumb? Is this circuit what I think it is: I want to build a speaker simulator for hard disc recording.

My Idea is this:

Guitar > Subcaster > Marshall tonestack > FX Loop > Marshall Speaker Simulator > PC

.........all in a little box. Anyone done similar?

VB = Vref, meaning half the supply voltage

I've done guitar-> pedal->Simulator->PC

However, since almost every recording program has a speaker sim built in, you might as well use it.

Yeah, i have simulators and plugins for everything in Cubase/Wavelab! I guess anything you can construct with trannies, opamps, fets, valves can be simulated! Maybe I just love the smell of solder fumes?!
