When you guys need to touch up you transfer before you etch your PCB board has anyone tried using artist paint pens rather than a sharpie?

Have you tried it? Not a bad idea if it works. Don't see why it wouldn't.  :icon_smile:

That would be neater to apply than the nail polish I use for touchups.

It works fine, I'm pretty sure mine are enamel based because they have some strong fumes. I can't find them with fine enough tips though.

Nothing beats the industrial-super perm sharpie though.

Thanks for posting!  I'm glad these work! 

I was looking at these pens the other week at Office Depot and was wondering how much better these were than regular Sharpies.  Now that it's confirmed they work well, I think I'll pick one up and try it.     :D

I've used them, and can confirm that they work.  I can also confirm that they offer less precision than a Staedtler Lumocolor for double the price.
