AD-3208 distorted?

Just finished the AD- 3208 from GGG.  I have been messin' with the trim pots for about 2 hours and still am getting a distorted delay sound, especially on when playing chords.  Any thoughts or experience on this?  I also noticed that the LED is on wehter or not the effect is engaged or not.  Hmmmm?  Thanks!

Okay, fixed the LED.  One of the diodes on the layout diagram was backwards.  I have set the trimpots for the least amount of distortion, but it is still there.  Is this just how this pedal is?  Thanks!
