Advice on 500k/100k volume pot for Fuzz

I'm building a Silicon Fuzz pedal. I bought the 1k reverse log for the fuzz, and a 100k for the volume. Then I received a 500k for the volume control that was backordered from Small Bear that was supposed to be for the Fuzz but I had forgotten it was coming. So now, which one to use? Any pro's/cons from any Fuzz pro's out there? Thanks in advance for any advice.

It really depends on the circuit.
Depending on the output cap value the volume pot will have a brighter or darker sound.
Try 100K and see what you think. It will have the best output impedance when you use the pedal with other pedals after it.

If it's too dark 500K should brighten it up a bit. but then it depends on the circuit once again.

In RG's "The Technology of the Fuzz Face" he states that the 100k is actually brighter than the 500k, which seems to be counterintuitive to higher value pots being brighter.  Which one is actually brighter?

Thanks guys, I'll just try them both and see which one works better for my gear.

100k, almost as loud as 500k.
So, it tends to be turned up more, so..
There's generally less resistance [which tends to attenuate highs a bit more than lows] in the signal path.
General consensus's aside [though they make sense to me], 100k works fine, the other 'diddle' for volume control of course is the ~470 or 1k~ choice, and any of those pots can be 'brightened with a bypass cap across the VC pot's SP lugs..
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

500k, IMO, allows more low end through...just my ears talkin' though...
