MKII and Rangemaster similarities?

I was looking at MKII and Rangemaster schematics tonight and see circuit similarities with these pedals.  The main significant difference being the 3 Ge transistors on the MKII vs the Rangemaster's single Ge transistor - and the MKII has much more distortion potential, of course.  I've noticed a similar frequency response of these two pedals, especially with fuzz levels on minimum and lowering input signal levels on an MKII.  Is it fair to say that these pedals are quite similar, with the exceptions I've mentioned?

The first stage of a MkII resembles an RM. Both are 1 gain stage.
The second stage of the MkII is: a 2 transistor feedback loop amplifier [Fuzz Face]..very little in common with the RM except material type [if same] used in the actives.

Thanks, Pete.  Btw, have you noticed a similar frequency response between RM and MKII designs though?  The frequency response of those two pedals are much more similar and distinct from Fuzz Face in my experience.

The frequency response by and large is set by the value of the capactors.
Ge transistors ca'n roll off some highs...
As can low value input resistors.
The FF tends to sound thin with too small a capacitor[s reducing the bass, but the TB, having the third transistor makes it possible to achieve a thinner ' voicing while still sounding 'strong'.
However the FF also has the ability to become thinner but not too weak sounding when guitar volume is rolled off a little bit.
